I am now back from Harrogate after a busy and exciting few days. The show seemed to be busy and buzzing with lots of people from many different galleries, shops and outlets. One of the nicest things about BCTF is finally being able to put faces to names and properly meet and catch up with people you regularly work with via the telephone or email. The most beneficial part for me is seeing people's first hand responses to my work and receiving positive and encouraging feedback from visitors,
Unfortunately I didn't have a huge amount of time to look at all of the stands at BCTF but there were a few makers/designers whose work really stood out for me, including designer and printmaker Kiran Ravilious, illustrator Kate Broughton and jewellery designer Ellie Ingram a.k.a Bug. It was also lovely to catch up with a few old favourites, ceramicist Lucianna Gallucci and jewellery designers Jennie Gill and Jessica Hewitt
During BCTF I was lucky enough to be invited to display my work in a few new galleries and to show my work in several upcoming exhibitions...more info on my website soon.
Until next year...
